Get well soon Richard.

Congratulations on the life style changes.

Getting started and developing a habit is the toughest part. Once your fitness levels kick in and you start enjoying the benefits of wellness, things get much easier.

I saw your post on "running"
if you ever get bored you can read snippets of my blog. I used to feel like an idiot and didn't think I could make it past a couple minutes. Now I feel invincible and can run until they kick me out of the gym. lol
(the url to my blog is on my profile, i won't leave it cuz I don't want you to think i'm spamming you in any way.)

I've been sick this past week. I know that when I'm sick I should continue to work out, just at a reduced level, but I didn't; as a consequence, I gained .4 lb. My diet has been okay, but not great. I'm pretty sure that I benefit best from exercise rather than from plain old diet.

On the other hand, my doctor yesterday was very pleased with the lifestyle changes I've been making. "You exercise 45 minutes a day?" she asked me.

"Most of the time, yeah," I replied. "You told me to."

"Wow!" she said. "My patients never do what I tell them to do."

So tomorrow I'm back on the workout wagon. I'm still sick, but I'll do a 45 minute light workout on the stationary bike. Or maybe I'll take a walk.
